Western blot analysis of nNOS and CHAT.

<p><i>A</i> shows relative protein expression of nNOS obtained by densitometric analysis normalized to GAPDH. The predicted molecular weights are indicated by arrows. A drastic difference in protein expression of nNOS between the ANP+saline and ANP+octreotide groups was observed at 48 h (**; <i>P</i> = .001; n = 5, <i>C</i>). The molecular weight of the lower band corresponds well with the molecular weight of nNOS-ß, a splice variant of nNOS (Ld: protein ladder). <i>B</i> shows representative images from CHAT and GAPDH blots.
