Selective α7-nAChR agonist, PNU-282987, enhances insulin sensitivity in normal mice.

<p>(A) Weight gain in mice during PNU-282987 treatment. At the end of PNU-282987 treatment, (B) HOMA-IR, (C) insulin tolerance test (ITT) and (D, E) glucose tolerance test (GTT) were performed. ITT was performed in mice 6 h after food removal with insulin challenge at 0.55 IU/kg of body weight (i.p.).
