Semen samples from 198 Danish sperm donors were analyzed for presence of human herpesviruses.

<p>The viruses were detected by PCR amplification of a conserved region of the human herpesvirus genome followed by hybridization to an Array containing binding spots specific for each herpesvirus in triplicate (the Clart Entherpex kit). The frequencies were adjusted for multiple ejaculates per donor.
