<p>Live neurons after seizure were detected by NeuN staining in the hippocampal CA1, CA3 and hilus regions at 1 week after insult. Light microscopic images show decreased NeuN (+) neurons in the CA1, CA3 and hilus area at 1 week after seizure. Intraperitoneal injection of CQ provided no protective effects on hippocampal neuronal death. Scale bar = 250 µm.
