Apoptosis levels at baseline and with combination treatment.

<p>* Apoptosis was measured through western blot for cleaved caspase 3 and cleaved PARP. (A&D) In ERPC9 cells treated with erlotinib-cisplatin combination, a significant increase in cleaved caspase 3 and cleaved PARP were observed compared to non-treated cells (p = 0.045 and p = 0.007, respectively). In addition, there were significant increase in cleaved caspase 3 and cleaved PARP compared to all other groups (p = 0.030 and p = 0.003, respectively). (B&C) At baseline, there were significant lower levels in both cleaved caspase 3 and cleaved PARP in ERPC9 compared to PC9 cells (p<0.0001 and p = 0.0004, respectively).
