<p>(<b>A</b>) Recombinant <i>Salmonella</i> strains were analyzed for virulence in RAW264.7 macrophages. At all of the three bacteria-to-macrophage infection ratios of 1∶1, 10∶1, and 100∶1, P1-pTP2fliC, -pTP2flhDC, and -pTP2DC+C were not able to reproduce in macrophages, while -pY did.
