Effects of polydatin on the mRNA and protein expression of TGF-β₁ in the liver tissue.

<p>The mRNA (A) and protein (B) expression levels of TGF-β₁ were significantly increased in the group of mice treated with CCl₄ (50 µg/kg) when compared with the control group. Preadministration of polydatin (100 mg/kg) for 5 consecutive days enhanced TGF-β₁ expression levels further. ^ΔΔ P<0.01 compared with the control group; **P<0.01 compared with the CCl4 group. Data are expressed as the mean ± SD. 6 samples in each group were used for mRNA analysis, and 4 samples in each group for protein analysis.
