Expression profiles of cyclins on the same scale.

<p>The data presented piece-wise in <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0038275#pone-0038275-g003" target="_blank"><b>Figures 3D</b></a>, <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0038275#pone-0038275-g004" target="_blank"><b>4D</b></a>, <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0038275#pone-0038275-g005" target="_blank"><b>5F, and 5G</b></a> were transformed to set the first and last values (frequency = 0 and 1) to zero in accord with the known low levels (below detection) of these cyclins at the end and beginning of the cell cycle (<b>C</b>). The functions in (<b>A</b>) and (<b>B</b>) were then used to transform the data in (<b>C</b>) to the form in (<b>D</b>), which set them to the same relative scale, and therefore, the amplitudes now have meaning. In (<b>E</b>) and (<b>F</b>) the frequency data were transformed from frequency to time as explained in the text. Dotted line in (F) denotes the boundary between G2 and M.
