Mean (SE) standing stock of resident nekton – density (ind m⁻²), biomass (g DW m⁻²), and energy density (cal m⁻²) – that assembled to the flooded marsh surface in the inflow area during two (February and March 2005) experimental riverine flood pulses in upper Breton Sound estuary, Louisiana.

<p>Also shown is the estimated nekton standing stock that was a subsidy attributed to the experimental pulses. Mean standing stock is based on nekton community data reported in a previous study <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0037536#pone.0037536-Piazza3" target="_blank">[32]</a>. Dry weight biomass was calculated with equations in <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0037536#pone-0037536-t002" target="_blank">Table 2</a>. Errors for potential nekton subsidy were calculated using the formula (Z_err = Z[(X_err/X)²(Y_err/Y)²]^1/2.
