<p>Percentage cercarial shedding in NMRI snails infected with GA - treated miracidia (blank box) and normal miracidia (grey box). The snails were releasing cercariae after 4 weeks PE and continued to shed cercariae for the 9 weeks duration of the study. The asterisk* denotes a significant difference between GA-treated- and normal miracidia infection at weeks 4 and 5 PE. However note that after 6 weeks PE there is no significant difference between the two groups as determined by Student <i>t</i>-test with <i>P-value</i><0.05 (error bar = SE; N = 60 in each group).
