Conventional cardiovascular risk factors include age, sex, systolic blood pressure, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, total cholesterol, body-mass-index, antihypertensive medication, lipid-lowering medication, diabetes, and current smoking.</p>*<p>10-year Kaplan-Meier estimates were used to estimate the number of subjects who died and who did not die.</p>†<p>Observed risk at 10-years was estimated from the Kaplan-Meier curve.
