<p>Inflammatory cytokine mRNA levels in lesioned lung samples from bovine RSV-infected calves with low (n = 8) or high (n = 8) circulating 25(OH)D<sub>3</sub> levels. The amount of each target gene was determined by quantitative real-time PCR with normalization to RPS9. ΔΔCt values ± SE were transformed (2<sup>−ΔΔCt</sup>) and data are presented as the target gene expression relative to control lung samples (n = 4). Statistical analysis was performed using Student's t-test. ΔΔCt values were used in the analysis of relative gene expression. *P<.05.</p
