Analysis of the expression of BCL2-related proteins in IBV-infected Vero cells, chicken fibroblast DF1 cells and chicken embryos.

<p>(A) Vero cells were infected with IBV, harvested at 0, 8, 16 and 24 hours post-infection, and lysates prepared. Western blot analysis was performed with the indicated specific antibodies, and probed with anti-actin as a loading control. (B) Chicken fibroblast DF1 cells were either infected with IBV, harvested at 8 and 16 hours post-infection and RNA extracted. RT-PCR analysis was carried out using specific primers for the indicated genes, with GAPDH as a loading control. (C) 10-day-old chicken embryos were inoculated with either mock virus (M) or IBV (1000 plaque-forming units per egg) in a 37°C incubator for 48 hours. Total RNA was extracted from homogenized tissues and used for RT-PCR using specific primers as above (B).
