<p>The panel shows the presence of <i>CYP1</i>-like genes and <i>CYP1A</i>, <i>CYP1B</i>, <i>CYP1C</i>, <i>CYP1D</i>, <i>CYP1E</i> and <i>CYP1F</i> subfamily genes in various echinozoan, tunicate, and vertebrate classes. Suggested events of gene duplication and gene loss are shown by bullets. Ten <i>CYP1</i>-like genes have been identified in the genome of the sea urchin <i>S. purpuratus</i> and three <i>CYP1A</i>-like genes in the genome of the anole lizard. These genes have not been further studied. Genes within brackets indicate known or suspected absence in at least one species within the taxon (birds, mammals).
