<p>Spectral traces were recorded after 2 h of incubation of a fixed amount (1.5 µM) of LPO-Fe(III) (Panel A) and LPO Compound II (Panel B) with increasing concentration of HOCl (0, 25, 50, 100, 150, 175, 200 and 300 µM), at 25°C. Arrows in Panel A and B indicate the direction of spectral change. The LPO recovery estimated from the absorbance values at 432 from each spectral scan recorded in the Panels A and B are plotted versus HOCl concentration (Panel A and B insets). These data are representative of three independent experiments.</p
