<p>Rapid-scanning diode array spectra were recorded during the reaction of LPO Compound III (3 µM) with a buffer solution containing 300 µM (Panels A and B) and 840 µM (Panels and G, H, and I) HOCl, at 10°C. Arrows in the panels indicate the direction of spectral changes over time. The time of each collected spectrum after initiation of the reaction is indicated in seconds. The dashed line spectrum is the spectra of the LPO-Fe(III). The first spectrum corresponds with the initial formation of Compound III, which was generated by mixing LPO-Fe(III) with 200 µM H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub>.
