<p>10 µM of LPO-Fe(III) were incubated with increasing HOCl concentrations (0, 175, 350, 700, 1050, 1400, and 2100 µM) for 30 minutes, at 25°C. Free iron was assayed colorimetrically using ferrozine (for details see <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0027641#s4" target="_blank"><i>Materials and Methods</i></a> section). Experiments were carried out in sodium phosphate buffer (0.2 M at pH 7.0). These data are representative of three independent experiments.</p
