<p>The data were fitted using <i>Equation 2</i> (see <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0027573#s4" target="_blank">Materials and Methods</a>); <i>y_max</i> is the asymptotic maximal onset value, <i>n</i> is the Hill coefficient, and <i>k</i> and <i>y₀</i> are fitting parameters (mean ± SEM).
