A result of PNA-directed PCR clamping using a mixed DNA template from a common type clone (eel00-01) and spiny lobster.

<p>Without PNA probe, eel ITS1 (c.a. 500 bp) was predominately amplified but lobster ITS1 was not (2^nd lane from the left). All PNA probes successfully inhibited amplification of eel ITS1 but did not inhibit amplification of lobster ITS1 (c.a. 680 bp; 3^rd to 6^th lane from the left).
