<p><b>(A</b>) Total RNA was extracted from THP-1 cells either left untreated (control) or treated with IFN-α (Universal IFN; 1000 u/ml), IFN-β (1000 u/ml), or IFN-γ (10 ng/ml) for 12 h. Relative steady-state levels of mRNA were analyzed by semi-quantitative RT-PCR using a pair of primer specific to the indicated genes. FC, indicates the fold change in the steady-state levels of the <i>AIM2</i> or <i>IL-1B</i> mRNA as compared to the control (lane 1).
