Abstract

<p>Optical coefficients of different tissues used for the MCS. Refraction coefficients were taken from <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0026377#pone.0026377-Pawley1" target="_blank">[39]</a> except for scalp: <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0026377#pone.0026377-Tearney1" target="_blank">[40]</a>. Scatter, absorption and anisotropy coefficients of skin and bone were from <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0026377#pone.0026377-Fukui1" target="_blank">[17]</a>. Since coefficient values for gray and white matter differed between sources <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0026377#pone.0026377-Cheong1" t...
