mRNA expression by primary cortical cells following pT-ODN/CL075 co-stimulation.

<p>Primary cortical cultures were generated as described in <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0022454#s4" target="_blank">materials and methods</a>. Glial cells were stimulated with 20 µM of CL075 and/or 1 µM pT-ODN. RNA was isolated from cells at indicated times post stimulation. RNA samples were processed for real-time quantitative RT-PCR analysis. Data were calculated relative to the expression of <i>Gapdh</i> mRNA and then compared as fold change relative to the average of mock infected controls. Data are the mean ± SEM of three wells per group and are representative of two replicate experiments. Statistical analysis was completed by two-way ANOVA with Newman-Keuls post test. Asterisks (*) directly above data symbols represent a statistically significant difference compared to media alone controls.
