<p>To detect potential exchange of other organelles such as mitochondria between RPTECs, cells were labeled with MitoTracker® reagent which specifically labels active mitochondria <i>in-vivo</i> (green). MitoTracker labeled cells were co-cultured for 24 h together with Qtracker 605 (red) labeled cells. Mitochondria could be detected in the lumen of the TNT-like tubes in RPTEC (A).
