<p>(A) Blood glucose levels in <i>mdx</i>, <i>mdx:Myog</i>-deleted, and wild-type mice (all groups, n = 14) after running to exhaustion under high-intensity exercise conditions. Baseline (pre-exercise) blood glucose levels were approximately the same for the 3 test groups, ranging from 158 to 177 mg/dL. At exhaustion, blood glucose levels remained virtually unchanged for all groups. (B) Blood lactate levels were significantly elevated for the 3 test groups at exhaustion compared to wild-type pre-exercise values. Blood lactate levels at exhaustion in wild-type (n = 10) and <i>mdx:Myog</i>-deleted (n = 12) mice were significantly higher than those of <i>mdx</i> mice (n = 11).
