<p>(A) The mean pupil diameters of the PM and AM eyes for a 7-month-old spider as a function of the time after ecdysis. The data were fitted using <i>d</i> = <i>d_f</i> –<i>a</i>/(1+exp((<i>t</i>–<i>t₀</i>)/<i>b</i>)), where <i>d</i> is the pupil diameter and <i>d_f</i> is its asymptotic value for large times <i>t</i>. PM eyes (r² = 0.9993): <i>d_f</i> = 817 µm, <i>a</i> = 600 µm, <i>t₀</i> = 32 h, <i>b</i> = 69 h. AM eyes (r² = 0.9997): <i>d_f</i> = 626 µm, <i>a</i> = 400 µm, <i>t₀</i> = 61 h, <i>b</i> = 60 h.
