Results are means±SEM (n = 7 per group). <b>B</b>, <b>C</b>. Changes in mitochondrial membrane potential in response to 22 mM glucose (<b>B</b>) and 10 mM KIC (<b>C</b>) in WT and KO β cells. Changes in mitochondrial membrane potential were measured by a mitochondrial potential sensitive dye TMRE (10 nM). Time 0 indicates when the stimulants were added. The fluorescence intensity at time 0 was taken as 100%. Results are means±SEM (n = 12 cells per group).</p
