RNA gel blot analysis of expression of <i>VdGARP1</i> transcript under different conditions.

<p>(A) Expression of <i>VdGARP1</i> transcript under stress conditions by adding sorbitol or NaCl to three-day-old V592 liquid culture, or by transfer three-day-old V592 liquid culture to liquid medium lacking glucose or nitrate. (B) Expression of <i>VdGARP1</i> mRNA stimulated by cotton, by adding cotton root extract to three-day-old V592 liquid culture. Co-culture times are as indicated. rRNAs stained with methylene blue trihydrate were used as a loading control. Hybridization was performed with ³²P-labeled <i>VdGARP1</i>-specific DNA probe as shown in <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0015319#pone-0015319-g003" target="_blank">Figure 3A</a>.
