LA appears to have a biphasic effect on IL-10 production.

<p>T cell enriched PBMCs were treated with 10, 25, or 100 µg/ml LA for 5 minutes prior to treatment with 2 µg/ml PHA for 24 hours. Supernatants were used to measure IL-10 levels via ELISA (R&D systems, Minneapolis, MN). Percent change values were determined from PHA stimulated control.
