Correlation between level of hemolytic activity and severity of lethality.

<p>A) Lethality analysis as described in the legend of <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0011558#pone-0011558-g001" target="_blank">Fig. 1</a> was performed in <i>glp-4(bn2)</i> worms that were fed indicated bacterial strains (<a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0011558#pone-0011558-t001" target="_blank">Table 1</a>). O1 El Tor strains A1552, E7946 and N16961 induce higher lethality than O1 Classical strains 569B and VC395 with a statistical significance of p<0.01 according to logrank test. Curve comparisons within the classical (p = 0.5389) and El tor (p = 0.7224) strains were not statistically significant.
