<p>The four regions illustrated are those that individually exhibit a significantly more positive linear slope in musicians than non-musicians in the 2B condition. This tendency, which is also present in the 1B condition, shows that by recruiting more brain resources during a WM task, musicians are able to sustain a higher performance level in face of the elevated cognitive demands.
