While doing this Unit you will learn how to use standard proofreading symbols to correct copy and proofs on paper. It is also extremely valuable to practise correcting copy and proofs on a computer screen as computer technology has transformed much of the editors job and created a far more computer centred role. The principles for paper and screen editing are similar and you should apply the skills learnt in this pack to editing on screen. There are two Outcomes for this Unit: 1. Correct errors in given copy 2. Edit copy to meet given specifications
