Feline hyperthyroidism is an endocrine disorder, characterised by difficult diagnostics. The objective of this research is to analyse predisposition of age, gender, clinical symptoms, and categories of disease, treatment methods, laboratory tests findings and their importance in diagnostics. The study group included 50 cats (hyperthyroid cats n=25; healthy cats n=25) to evaluate physical examination, hematologic, blood biochemistry findings. The results of the study indicate that age and weight are significant to the disease evaluation. Data shows the importance of weight-loss, exponentially increased appetite (92 %) and enlarged thyroid gland (82 %). Common treatment of disease is conservative medicament treatment (76 %).
