This assessment of countries' pledged pre-2020 mitigation ambition (including climate finance contributions for mitigation elsewhere) was conducted by a broad, large and diverse coalition of civil society organizations and social movements. It contrasts these pledges with countries' fair shares of a global mitigation pathway that would be compatible with holding global warming to 1.5°C as per the Paris Agreement. The assessment was produced for and released at the UNFCCC COP22 climate summit in Marrakesh in 2016
