<p>A) Proximity ligation assay (PLA) detects interaction of two translational components RPL24 and RPS6 in the oocyte and 2-cell embryo. Fluorescent foci indicate RPL24 and RPS6 interactions (green) in the oocyte and embryo. As negative controls, oocytes and 2-cell embryos were treated with the translational inhibitor puromycin, or a single RPS6 antibody was used.
