The nature of damages observed on the compressor and the gas generator blades suggests that they were hit by foreign object. The profile of the damages indicates that the foreign object had a shape with circular circumference. In-situ compositional analysis carried out showed that the foreign object was made of an alloy of iron (Fe). Considering the shape and the chemical composition, inference can be drawn that the foreign object was a steel bolt/rivet. A detailed analysis carried out on the blades is presented in this report
