A brief description of a new curved triangular thin shell element with simple nodal connections is presented. The discrete Kirchhoff theory approach and the isoparametric representation of the element geometry are used to satisfy the conformity and the rigid body displacement conditions, respectively. Some patch test solution results applicable to spherical shells are presented
