The prediction of laminar reparation bubbles is important in the design of low Reynolds number aerofoil5 . n good model for reparation bubbles capable of predicting (1) the transition to turbulence in the separated region, (2) the subsequent reattachment, (3) the boundary layer parameters at reattachment and (4) the effect of the bubble on the external pressure distribution is essential for the calculation of aerofoil characteristics like lift, drag etc . It is seen from a survey of recent experi ::ental and13; theoretical work that a satisfactory model does not yet exist and that there is need for further experiments
