A dual band loop-type ground antenna is proposed. Loop-type feeding structures and capacitors have been employed to excite current loops for lower and higher frequency bands. Resonance frequencies of both bands can be controlled using the capacitors. The antenna requires minimal ground clearance and can easily be installed in mobile devices. Measured results show good impedance matching and good radiation performance of the proposed antenna. (c) 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
