Background: Stroke is a syndrome with rapidly growing clinical manifestations and may cause functional brain disorders lasting more than 24 hours. The description of ischemic pathology in stroke can lead to leukocyte infiltration that can accelerate and extend infarction. An increase in the number of neutrophils and monocytes can lead to a poor prognosis until death. Objective: This study aims to identify the relationship between the number of neutrophils and monocytes with mortality rates in patients with ischemic stroke.
