The dispersion of solutes in fluid flows is ubiquitous in natural as well\ud as in many manufactured systems. Detailed analyses of the distribution\ud of solutes in fluid flow help us to quantify the performance of chemical\ud reactors, water networks, pollutant dispersion in channels and rivers and\ud so on. This thesis presents numerical studies of solute dispersion in\ud laminar and turbulent flows
