In recent years, there has been increasing attention on the potential climate change resulting from increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases. Changes in the vertical structure of atmospheric temperature have been proposed as a possible “fingerprint” of greenhouse gas-induced climate change. Since the global atmosphere is a complex chemical and dynamical system, any change that occurs in one place will affect the environment on a global scale. Although anthropogenic activities contribute to major fluctuations in the chemical structure of the atmosphere, a significant part of the chemical composition has also been modified by varying natural phenomena such as geomagnetic activity and incoming solar radiatio
