There is limited data available on treatment approaches for cooccurring\ud SUD and BPD. Considering that co-occurring\ud BPD may be prevalent in more than 50% of those seeking\ud SUD treatment and there is limited clinical understanding\ud about the most effective treatment approach for these clients,\ud a review of the existing evidence was identified as an\ud important first step. The aim of this article is to systematically\ud review current evidence regarding effective treatment\ud options for co-occurring SUD and BPD and discuss the\ud clinical implications of these findings for the alcohol and\ud drug field
