This thesis studies closed virtual communities. The aim of the thesis is to present existing social networks and online community systems that enable collaboration within closed groups and finaly to implement a business-oriented community web page. The web community has to satisfy user requirements. User requirements analysis is performed and presented with user stories and use cases. Closed group within existing business social networks like LinkedIn and Xing, could be a simple solution in the beginning. But, with the growth of group's members and their needs, these systems do not offer enough flexibility, customization or extensibility for the group.
