Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) are becoming an essential component of modern manufacturing companies. Until recently, manufacturers considered these systems to be an above standard option that is not essential for the successful development and functioning of the company. Nowadays, fewer and fewer companies still think this way. In a world of rapid changes and fierce competition, economic potential is not so much determined by the quality of the product as by the ability to rapidly adapt and master the manufacturing process. It is almost inconceivable that this could be achieved without the help of MES.
