Eu(3+)-doped NaY(MoO(4))(2) and Na(Y, Gd)(MoO(4))(2) phosphors were prepared via microemulsion-hydrothermal method. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and fluorescence spectroscopy were used to characterize the samples. The XRD of as-prepared samples were in agreement with the PDF # 82-2369 of NaY(MoO(4))(2). SEM images showed that the as-prepared particles had a diameter size ranging from 0.5 to 0.8 mu m. The critical activator molar concentration (Eu(3+)) in NaY(MoO(4))(2) : Eu(3+) was 4%, and the luminescent intensity of Na(Y, Gd)(MoO(4))(2) : 4%Eu(3+)was maximum when Y : Gd molar ratio at 0.5 : 0.5.
