Irish Law 2002: An Insider\u27s Guide to Notre Dame Law School

To the Notre Dame Law School Class of 2005: Welcome to Notre Dame Law School! We are pleased to be among the first students to welcome you to our community. If you are anything like we were just a few years ago, you probably have plenty of questions about law school, Notre Dame and South Bend. We hope that this guide will give you answers to many of your questions and gives a window into what life at Notre Dame is like. This is an insider\u27s guide because it was written entirely by students. A group of about fifteen of us volunteered to collect information and reflect on our experiences to publish this guide. We think we\u27ve compiled a lot of information that will make your transition to law school at Notre Dame easier, and your first months on campus more fun. Even though this is not meant to be a comprehensive guide to everything you need to know to get through law school, we think that it may be a pretty good place to start. So whether you are trying to figure out where to live next year, what is the best way to get to South Bend, where to find a good Italian restaurant, or what law students do on the weekend, this guide should answer many of your questions. More importantly, we think this guide should answer questions about what life at Notre Dame Law School is like. We have both come to treasure our experiences at NDLS. The professors, students, and staff of this law school are unique-their warmth, friendship and flair has made studying law at Notre Dame fun and, undoubtedly, has provided us with a better foundation for us to successfully achieve both our personal and professional goals. We hope that our enthusiasm, and that of other students, will be apparent throughout this guide. Although we know that you have already been inundated with information from the Law School and from the University, we hope that this guide will be valuable as you prepare for classes in August.
