Les sols du Mont Cameroun, mémoires des usages anthropiques: The soils of Mount Cameroon, memory of anthropic uses

International audienceMount Cameroon, stratovolcano of the southwest coast of Cameroon, is the theater since the end ofthe XXth century, of a sometimes difficult cohabitation between agricultural systems in antithetic logics of functioning.The legendary fertility of soils of Mount Cameroon, attracting people and greeds, gave rise to bloodyfights for the land control with which the societal and environmental inheritance still marks the region. The memoryof soils records the tracks of the social memory - through practices - following connections of influencewhich it is interesting to decode to seize the stakes. This article details the mechanisms of the système d’interactionmémoriel, base of an interdisciplinary approach which appeals to tools mutualized by the ethnology andby the pedology. The indicators of the anthropological memory, object of full study, are legible in grounds andconstitute a front door on the archive system.Le Mont Cameroun, stratovolcan de la côte sud-ouest du Cameroun, est le théâtre depuis la fin duXXe siècle d’une cohabitation parfois difficile entre des systèmes agricoles aux logiques de fonctionnement antithétiques.La fertilité légendaire des sols du Mont Cameroun, attirant hommes et convoitises, a donné lieu à desluttes sanglantes pour la maîtrise foncière dont l’héritage sociétal et environnemental marque encore la région.La mémoire des sols enregistre les traces de la mémoire sociale - à travers les usages - suivant des rapportsd’influence qu’il est intéressant de décoder pour en mieux saisir les enjeux. Cet article détaille les ressorts dusystème d’interaction mémoriel, socle d’une approche interdisciplinaire qui fait appel aux outils mutualisés del’ethnologie et de la pédologie. Les indicateurs de la mémoire anthropique, objet d’étude à part entière, sontlisibles dans les sols et constituent une porte d’entrée sur le système d’archivage
