Add to ORKGCiant resonance experiments are reported, mainly concerning the E2 strength distribution in light nuclei; in addition E3 and E4 modes are discussed. In contrast to earlier experiments, the ($\alpha, \alpha$') spectra of light nuclei (A<28) obtained at higher incident $\alpha$-energy provide direct evidence for the existence of concentrated CQR's. The properties of these giant resonances are discussed with respect to macroscopic and microscopic analyses.
