Démarche d'éducation à la santé en périnatalité, exemple du peau à peau

Health education occupies a major place during pregnancy, enabling future parents to be accompanied in their choices. It is based on guidance from future parents. The main objective of this study was to construct a guidance in perinatal health by taking skin-to-skin contact as an example. The secondary objectives were to appreciate the effect of informed information and guidance to future mothers on the practice of skin-to-skin contact and on the feeling of competence and self-confidence to interpret attachment behaviors of their newborn. Two groups of pregnant women were established at the St-Joseph hospital in Marseille: an unexposed group with no skin-to-skin information and one exposed group who had received an information session on skin-to-skin contact. For this, a leaflet and an explanatory film on the skin-to-skin contact were realized. The data were collected by a telephone questionnaire in diaper suites. This study revealed a significant increase in the ease with which mothers participated in the information meeting about the needs and rhythms of their newborn and their ability to appease them.L’éducation à la santé occupe une place majeure durant la grossesse en permettant d’accompagner les futurs parents dans leurs choix. Elle repose sur une guidance des futurs parents. L’objectif principal de cette étude a été de construire une guidance en santé périnatale en prenant pour exemple le peau à peau. Les objectifs secondaires ont été d’apprécier l’effet d’une information éclairée et d’une guidance auprès des futures mères sur la pratique du peau à peau et sur le sentiment de compétence et de confiance en soi pour interpréter les comportements d’attachement du nouveau-né. Deux groupes de femmes enceintes ont été constitués à l’hôpital st-joseph de Marseille : un groupe non-exposé n’ayant reçu aucune information sur le peau à peau et un groupe exposé ayant bénéficié d’une réunion d’information sur le peau à peau. Pour cela, un dépliant et un film explicatif sur le peau à peau ont été réalisés. Les données ont été recueillies par un questionnaire téléphonique en suites de couches. Cette étude a permis de mettre en évidence de façon significative, une plus grande aisance des mères ayant participé à la réunion d’information concernant les besoins et rythmes de leur nouveau-né ainsi que leur capacité à l’apaiser
