This present memorandum deals with the tutorship practices in elementary school. Indeed, It questions the « cognitive congruence » and the part left to academic abilities and empathic skills of tutors. It examines the development of the tutor and tutored effects. In a vitalist paradigm, and using a clinical method, we created a tutoral device able to answer our previous interrogations. We placed our students into pairs tutor/ tutored and we were able to record the exchanges between the students of each pair. We concluded that empathy seemed more important than academic abilities but the tutor needed to understand correctly the exercice.
